Demands from these very specialist sectors have increased massively over the last 12 months and I’m now working to varying degrees with the majority of the UKs Semiconductor and Electronics industries. It’s an area in which I first cut my teeth in the gases industry way back in the early 90s when the UK was enjoying a boom in the Semiconductor and Electronics sector. And I’m pleased to see that this area picking up once again.
My work with these companies covers all my offerings and more! See our Full-Lifecycle Gas Engineering & Technology Solutions page for more news on that.
I can be brought in to simply assist and advise on post-handover niggles on a project, or you can have me always there looking over your shoulder on a monthly retainer basis.
But the reoccurring needs always seem to be:
- Training workshops. Which I’m always very happy to deliver. I love this part of my job. I get to talk about my favourite subject, and I get to learn more about the real needs of this industry while I’m doing so.
- Support and advice with writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for cylinder changes for hazardous and non-hazardous gases.
- Auditing of all existing gas delivery systems to identify and non-conformances and make recommendations where needed. All referenced to relevant codes and standards, and risk assessed.
- Written Scheme of Examination (WSEs). Not just in this industry, but across every sector. Producing WSEs is a constant requirement, but also a chance to clear up any misunderstandings as to what systems and what components it applies to.
